GOAL: Everyone feels loved, respected, valued, and heard. Everyone is welcome. We solve problems here and form lasting friendships. This is not just another group on Facebook - we are an online quilting circle that operates with love and kindness at all times.

Communicate so that everyone feels welcome, respected, and loved.

There are no stupid questions.

When providing a response, do so with care and kindness because we don't have the benefit of tone and facial expressions when online.

When providing an answer, please don't just say read the instructions or watch the video. Tell people what document and what page or what video to view. If it's a quick answer, say "this is the answer and it can be found here." so they're able to read it for themselves and help others in the future.

If you are unable to be kind, please be silent.

Be Kind and Courteous: We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

Rejoice! Applique Collection

This is the day!

Psalm 118:24 in Machine Embroidered Applique with optional quilting in the hoop

When I first set about designing this quilt, it was going to be really simple. Almost a quilt-in-a day kind of quilt, which was to be given to a young man with autism. I was going to make the quilt top using heat transfer material for the letters, then my friend Jean was going to do a simple panto quilting design over the whole thing using her automated Handi Quilter long arm machine.

Then the idea grew. Jean said to me one day, "If you digitize the letters, I'll stitch it all out." How could I possibly refuse that offer?

That meant the idea had to grow again. You can't do panto quilting over embroidered applique!

The result is the Rejoice! quilt, featuring machine embroidered applique letters, and the Rejoice! Quilting Collection, quilting in the hoop designs.

Rejoice! features Psalm 118:24 and is the ultimate in snuggle quilts. Measuring 48" x 60", the quilt is perfect for snuggling with on a chilly Sunday afternoon. Or any afternoon for that matter! The colors of the quilt are so bright and cheerful you can't help but to rejoice!

The Rejoice! design collection features:

  • Detailed instructions to complete the quilt featuring machine embroidered appliqué
  • SVG files to be used with the Silhouette CameoBrother ScanNCut and other digital cutting machines, to cut all the applique shapes.
  • Printable templates for all applique shapes.
  • Multi-formatted designs prepared for various hoop sizes: ART, ART80, DST, EXP, HUS, JEF, PCS, PES, VP3, XXX.
*** A hoop size of at least 150mm x 275mm is required for the Rejoice! collection designs. ***
