The Dream BIG Christmas Stocking Collection is a result of the outpouring of love from students of the 2022 Digitizing & Design Masterclass.
It features 8 gorgeous stockings that can be stitched up using your embroidery machine. Measuring 22" tall and 15.75" wide, these stockings are plenty big enough to hold all sorts of goodies.

The Ornaments Collection
Featuring 2 stocking designs, one created by Sarah, the other designed by Jan and Val.
My stocking turned out to be the only pieced stocking. The front features applique ornaments hanging in rows. The back features quilted ornaments - which could quite happily be used to create a gorgeous front too!
Jan and Val's stocking features gorgeous jumbo ornaments on the front, with snowflakes in the background. The back is quick and easy to stitch up with snowflakes all over. You can also stitch the ornaments as stand-alone ornaments to hang on your tree.
Christmas Cheer Collection
Featuring 3 stocking designs, this collection is a beautiful Mother/Daughter {Ruth & Carissa} collaboration. These stocking designs are filled with joy!
The Penguins stocking features 2 gorgeous penguins hurtling down a snowy slope, looking like they are having so much fun! The back features scattered snowflakes.
The Dancing Snowman is groovin' to his music on the front and back of the stocking!
The Christmas Tree has a smile to melt anyone's heart and is sure to light up your holiday season (on the front and back of the stocking!)
The Sports Lover's Collection
Featuring 3 stocking designs, the Sports Lover Stockings were imagined by the QTips, otherwise known as Marilyn, Jo and Susie. The QTips get together every week to stitch up some fun. They put their heads together to design the Sports Lover Stockings which were digitized by Marilyn.
The baseball stocking wishes all baseball fans a Merry Christmas, and encourages them to Swing for the Stars.
The football stocking wishes all football fans a Merry Christmas and encourages them to Go for the Goal!
The hockey stocking wishes all hockey fans to be Very Merry!
The Dream Big Christmas Stocking Project 2023
In 2022, Kim Vehon, founder and CEO of Foster Arizona, asked if we could create 26 Christmas stockings, measuring about 22" tall, for the young adults in the Young Adults Housing Program run by Foster Arizona. The only possible answer was "Yes!". Especially when she told me they usually get stockings from the Dollar Store ;-)
The stockings were such a big hit that Foster Arizona came back in 2023 to ask if we could do it again!
Students from the 2023 Digitizing & Design Masterclass are creating new stocking designs for the Dream Big Christmas Stocking Project 2023, Foster care edition.
Another organization close to our hearts is Phoenix Children's Hospital (PCH).
This is the first year since 2020 that PCH has been accepting handmade gifts. We are delighted to announce the Dream Big Christmas Stocking Project 2023, Phoenix Children's Hospital Edition, open to anyone who wants to make a Dream Big Christmas Stocking for a child who will be spending the Holidays in the hospital.
As of the beginning of November, there were 326 children inpatient at PCH. Our goal is for each one of them to receive a Dream Big Christmas Stocking.

This was a fun collaboration with my adult daughter, Carissa, who did the artwork that I used for my digitizing. The Penguins on the Sled was a 2014 Christmas card that she made for me and her dad...I saved it because I wanted to digitize it "one of these days". The other two drawings were from prompts that I gave her--"a dancing snowman" and "a Christmas tree with a Santa hat". A personal, heartfelt "Thank You" to the volunteers who braved stitching out the two designs that I released (first time I've ever done this) to help reach Sarah's goal of 26 BIG Stockings.
